Huge Sports Complex Coming to Cary, NC

Cary Community Recreation & Sports Center, known as The Center. Plans for the indoor sports complex – in the works for years – include a facility complete with 25,000 square feet of multi-purpose space, 12 full-size basketball courts convertible into 20 volleyball courts, and arena seating for up to 4,000 people.

The town is seeking qualified architecture, engineering and design firms with the experience needed to lead the design and master planning of the project.

Wake County and the City of Raleigh voted to allocate funds to the project. At the time, the total estimated cost came in at around $193 million. The Town of Cary will build, operate and manage the facility, which is also set to include E-sports amenities, a weight room, walking track and full-service restaurant, according to officials and filings.
